The HID bioCLASS RKLB57 utilises 13.56 MHz contactless smart card technology to deliver robust multi-factor authentication. By combining contactless card presentation, fingerprint biometric, and PIN verification, it offers the highest available security level. Fingerprint templates are stored exclusively on the smart card, reducing system management costs and privacy concerns. The on-board LCD guides users through enrollment and daily verification. Three security tiers are available: card+biometric, card+PIN, or card+fingerprint+PIN. Bi-directional RS232, RS485, USB, or UART connectivity enables integration with a wide range of PC or microcontroller environments.

The HID bioCLASS RKLB57 has a read range of up to 4.0 inches (10.2 cm).
It reads all HID iCLASS cards and ISO 14443/15693 compatible (CSN) credentials.
The RKLB57 provides bi-directional RS232, RS485, USB, or UART connections to a PC or microcontroller.
The RKLB57 supports three-factor authentication: smart card, fingerprint biometric, and keypad PIN, selectable in combinations.
